Qatar Condemns Israeli Violations in Syrian Territory, Completion of Work on "Sufa 53" Line

Doha, October 04, 2026 : The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's continued violations in Syrian territory, the latest of which was the completion of work on the so-called "Sufa 53" line.

Move Described as Breach of Syrian Sovereignty

Qatar described the move as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic, a brazen breach of international law, and a grave threat to regional security.

Ministry Calls for International Action

In a statement issued Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to act urgently to compel the Israeli occupation to comply with resolutions of international legitimacy, particularly the 1974 ceasefire agreement, and to halt its repeated attacks on Syrian territory to prevent further escalation and tension in the region.

Qatar Reaffirms Support for Syria's Sovereignty

The Ministry reiterated Qatar's full support for Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, affirming its solidarity with the Syrian people in their pursuit of security, stability, and prosperity.
